  • VAC Art Opening Reception: 2019 Student Show
    May is National Arts Education Month. To celebrate the work of our island youth, a month-long student art exhibit is held at the Orcas Center each year. This work features A-OK art from K-8 classes as well as incredible pieces from the High School students.
  • Island Sinfonia Spring Concert
    Island Sinfonia will present its 2019 spring concert on April 28. Featured pieces include Jean Baptiste Lully’s March of the Turkish Ceremony with circa 1650 props; Mozart’s Ronda a la Turk featuring Jen Utter playing the cello solo; Libertango for winds by Astor Piazzolla; Rosamunde by Franz Schubert, and Vivaldi’s Concert in D.
